Live audio and video feed

Although there is generally ample seating available at the ceremony, personal circumstances sometimes necessitate an alternate location for viewing all or part of the ceremony. The ceremony is broadcast live to screens in the Atkins Holman Student Commons (across the street from the Southwell Complex) and in the Bixby Room (located in the Southwell Complex near the concession stand).

Food and refreshments

The Cougar Café is located in the Atkins Holman Student Commons and will be open from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The café has a variety of made-to-order deli-style sandwiches, chips, salads and Starbucks coffee.

A concession stand is located in the Southwell Complex (site of the commencement ceremonies) and will open one hour prior to each ceremony and remain open during the ceremony. Their selection for this event is limited to water, sodas and candy bars.

Cry room

The Bixby Room, located in the Southwell Complex across from the concession stand, is available for guests with small children, if needed. The commencement ceremony will be broadcast live in the Bixby Room on a large screen. This room is easily accessed from the main ceremony location (less than 50 yards from the rear seats). Parents are welcomed and encouraged to take advantage of this accommodation at any time during the ceremony.

Souvenirs

The College Bookstore is located in the Atkins-Holman Student Commons and will be open from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Their merchandise includes Columbia College apparel and graduation memorabilia.

The Team Store has a somewhat limited selection of items also found in the College Bookstore (focusing almost exclusively on items for the graduate) and is located in the Southwell Complex, just inside the main entrance across from the concession stand. It will be open for an hour prior to and a half hour after each ceremony.
