Description:
The Science Department at Columbia College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position in analytical chemistry. Employment will begin August 2010. Ph.D. in chemistry or related field required. Interest/experience in environmental chemistry a plus. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and will teach general chemistry, quantitative analysis, environmental chemistry, and one or more general science courses for non-science majors, and will develop a course in instrumental analysis. Normal teaching load is four courses (12 hours) each semester. Research is not required but is encouraged, particularly if it has the potential to involve undergraduates.
