Campus Life Bulletin Board Guidelines

  1. Campus Life bulletin boards are located throughout campus, primarily in the Atkins-Holman Student Commons, Dorsey Hall, St. Clair Hall, Brown Hall, Buchanan Hall, Williams Hall, Southy and Dulany Dining Room
  2. Postings in the residence halls should be submitted to Residential Life for approval
  3. “Campus Event” boards (labeled as such) are intended for on-campus events or for events sponsored by a sanctioned campus organization
  4. “Community/Classified” boards (labeled as such) are intended for community events, community opportunities and the sale of classified items (i.e. textbooks, automobiles, etc.)
  5. Student Activities is not responsible for the content on bulletin boards which are not designated as Campus Life boards
  6. There is a two-week posting limit for all flyers (unless written approval is gained from the Student Activities Office)
  7. Flyers must have a date stamp of approval from the Campus Life Office. All flyers without a stamp of approval will be removed by the Student Activities Office
  8. Flyers may not be larger than 18” x 24”
  9. Flyers or any other advertisements may be posted on bulletin boards only or hung from the second floor of AHSC – they may not be taped to the walls, windows or doors in any campus building
  10. Flyers may not cover other flyers
  11. Only one copy of your flyer per bulletin board is allowed
  12. All flyers must clearly state the name of the individual or sponsoring group and relevant event information
  13. Flyers that promote the use of alcohol, other drugs or any illegal activities are prohibited in accordance with the rules and regulations stated in the student handbook
  14. Flyers must be in good taste; the college reserves the right to remove any posting that is obscene, discriminatory, libelous, misleading or offensive in any way, or that advocates the deliberate violation of federal, state or local law or college policy
  15. Flyers that do not adhere to the above rules will be removed
  16. The Student Activities Office reserves the right to deny postings and make exceptions as needed.
