Peer Educators
Kyle Christian
Hola! Hello there ladies and gentlemen. My name is Kyle Christian. I’m a sophomore from Blue Springs, MO just outside of Kansas City. I hope to be a high school math teacher and football and basketball coach when my college days are up.
I love playing sports around campus whether it be basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, or anything fun. I love the fact that you can walk around Columbia College and see familiar faces everywhere you look. In high school I was on the basketball and football teams and was involved in National Honor Society. Here at Columbia College I have been involved in SAC, SGA, Student Ambassadors, SLATE, and I was a PIE reader all in my first semester. You too can get involved , it’s so easy. Hopefully I’ll meet you soon!
Words of Wisdom: Have fun! College is a great place to be in general and Columbia College will allow you really enjoy college here with two other colleges down the street. Just know your boundaries as an individual and stay within those boundaries.
William Tyler Dunn
Greetings! Tyler Dunn here from Columbia, MO. I’m in my Senior year at CC; making this my 4th year at the college. Currently at age 21, I’m on track to graduate in the spring with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with majors in both Management and Financial Services. While on campus, I’m involved in Student Government Association, Student Ambassadors, as well as Peer Educators. Outside of school I work as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a local hospital here in town. When I find myself with free-time on hand, I enjoy spending it with friends and family. I try to stay active; participating in activities like disc golf at the park with friends. My time at CC has really opened me up and taught me values that will stick with me for the rest of my life. If you see me around campus feel free to say hello. I enjoy meeting new faces.
Advice: Get involved early! It does not matter whether it be social or academic clubs or other organizations on campus, just get out there. The college experience is so much more than just getting a degree; it is building relationships with peers, challenging your abilities, as well as finding out something about yourself along the way. If you just make the decision to be active on campus, I assure you something constructive will come from the experience.
Rebecca Kunce
Hi all! Name is Becca Kunce. I am a junior here at Columbia College majoring in mathematics with a minor in secondary education. I’m involved in several different things on campus, including Jane Froman Singers, Mock Trial, Kappa Mu Epsilon, Peer Educators, and intramurals. I encourage you to get involved in any way that you can. I love being active, sharing stories, laughing, getting to know new people, and taking much needed naps. I hope you enjoy your time here at CC and I can’t wait to get to know you!
Words of Wisdom: “Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same.”
Jillian Riedel
My name is Jillian Riedel, but most people just call me Jill. I was born and raised in Raytown, Missouri with two sisters, two dogs, and a cat. I’m a senior human services major and hope to go on to grad school to get my master’s in social work. I love my family and friends and put them above all things; my sisters are both older and wiser, and I miss seeing them all the time because they are my best friends. I love to read or have a good conversation over some Starbucks (iced soy chai latte if you’re wondering). Over the past three years, Columbia College has become my home and part of my family. The people here have influenced my life for the better and I hope to say I’ve done the same.
Advice: Expect the unexpected and plan for everything, but make sure to have some fun along the way!
