The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000 requires institutions of higher education to advise members of the college community where they can obtain information provided by the state concerning registered sex offenders. It also requires sex offenders to notify the state of each institution of higher education in the state at which they are employed, enrolled or carrying on a vocation. The state is then required to notify the college of any such information it receives.
