Barry R. Langford earned three degrees from the University of Missouri- Columbia, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, and a J.D. degree from the Law school. Professor Langford has taught for the college since 1994 and has taught across the curriculum. He has received multiple awards for teaching and service, including the Trustee’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2011, and the Congressman Neal Smith Award for Outstanding and Exemplary Contributions to Law Related Education in 2013.
Prior to joining Columbia College, Professor Langford taught as an adjunct for the University of Missouri and Missouri Southern State University, and worked as an attorney in the public and private sector, including 2 ½ years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. In addition to his teaching and administrative responsibilities, Professor Langford serves on the Board of Directors of the American Mock Trial Association and also directs the Columbia College Mock Trial Program.
