Scott McMahon received his MFA from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston and his BFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
He works with a combination of historic photo processes as well as video installation and sculpture. Scott was Artist-in-Residence at iPark Artists’ Enclave in East Haddam, CT in Spring of 2012 and the 2010-2011 Artist-in-Residence at Border Art Residency in La Union, New Mexico. Recent exhibitions include: The Letters Project, Lightroom Gallery, Phila., PA, American Metaphor – Contemporary Pinhole Photography, Galeria Pusta, Katowice, Poland, Forgotten Attributes, Three Columns Gallery at Harvard University, Fireflies, Bridgette Mayer Gallery, Philadelphia (collaborative) and The Bioluminescent Firefly Experiment, University City Arts League, Philadelphia (collaborative).
His work has been published in Pinhole Photography, Rediscovering a Historic Technique by Eric Renner, The Book of Alternative Photographic Processes by Christopher James and Anthotype by Malin Fabbri.
