Meet Dean Kristi Clevenger
Dean Clevenger has spent her career focused on the college experience. She got her start at the University of Missouri-Columbia, working for 13 years in residential life, academic advising, and career services. She also directed a program there that sent more than 200 undergraduate tutors into local schools to assist children with reading and math. Through these experiences she developed a passion for student learning, and how experiences both in and out of the classroom contribute to overall student development.
In 2007 she brought that passion to Columbia College, joining the faculty as a member of the Education department. She taught undergraduate and graduate students both in the classroom and online, and served in a variety of leadership roles as well, including department chair, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, and Faculty Association President.
