The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available starting October 1 of each year. Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible, although FAFSA applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
Students should have a FAFSA on file by February 1 but no later than April 1 to be eligible for most Missouri student financial aid. Eligible students who apply between February 1 and April 1 will be awarded state financial aid based on funding availability. Missouri student financial aid may have additional eligibility requirements.
Students returning in August should submit financial aid paperwork for the upcoming academic year by May 31. Documentation received after May 31 will be reviewed in the order received.
