For Students at The Residential Campus in Columbia, Mo.

Continuing with the Fall 2022 semester, Columbia College still eliminates course fees and provides textbooks required for your courses at no cost. This initiative could potentially save you thousands of dollars as you progress through your academic career.

By providing textbooks at no cost to you, access to the required reading material is guaranteed, which can improve your academic success. This also eliminates the need to search for the least expensive books for each of your courses.

The bookstore is also the place to get supplies, laptops, calculators, Columbia College apparel, gifts and accessories.

The bookstore is located on the main level of the Atkins-Holman Student Commons. Or shop online.

For Online and Nationwide Students

The CC Global bookstore provides materials for students taking classes online, in the evening in Columbia, Missouri, or at one of our venues nationwide. Students taking nursing courses at the Lake of the Ozarks should visit the main bookstore on our Residential Campus in Columbia, Mo.

Your books will mostly be available in an eText format. This allows you to interact with the material by taking notes and highlighting key sections directly onto the book. You may be able to convert an eBook into an audio file to listen to the content when it's convenient for you.

We'll order your books for you approximately two weeks prior to the session or as soon as you register thereafter. You do not need to order books or take any action to obtain books required for your courses.

If a course requires physical materials, these materials will be sent to the address shown in your User Profile. If you have questions regarding your address information, please reach out to Office of the Registrar at registrar@ccis.edu. If you drop a class, you are responsible for returning physical course materials that were shipped to you. To do so, visit Ingram Returns to generate a pre-paid return label. Materials from dropped courses must be returned within 30 days of receipt.

Electronic books will be available directly in Desire2Learn (D2L) one week before classes begin, or one day after your subsequent registration is processed. eTexts must be accessed through D2L before they will be available from the VitalSource apps on your computer or mobile device.

For information on optional and recommended course materials that might be available for purchase, please consult your course syllabus. Optional eTexts are available for purchase directly from VitalSource.com.

If you have problems accessing or using the VitalSource eText reader, please contact VitalSource at Support@VitalSource.com, (855) 200-4146.
